Michelle van de Ven studeerde in juni 2010 cum laude af aan de opleiding Muziektheater aan het Fontys Conservatorium in Tilburg, met de voorstelling Jane Eyre onder regie van Marla Schaffel.

Tijdens de opleiding kreeg ze onder andere les van Edward Hoepelman, Marc Krone, Roeland Vos, Katrien Verheijden en Julia Bless en speelde in schoolproducties als Nine en City of Angels. In 2010 startte zij haar professionele carrière als musicalactrice in Into The Woods, tevens starte ze met de mastersopleiding Master of Music aan het Fontys Conservatorium. Hiervoor volgde ze o.a. workshops en masterclasses in New York.

In de afgelopen tijd is Michelle zowel nationaal als internationaal te zien in de theaters. Zo speelde ze in Spring Awakening als Wendla, Next to Normal van Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties in de rol van Nathalie Goodman. In Aspects of Love van dezelfde producent speelde Michelle de rol van Jenny.

Daarna vertrok ze naar Duitsland waar ze succes had als Christine in Das Phantom der Oper van Stage Entertainment. Tegelijkertijd speelde Michelle in de kleine maar indrukwekkende musical Last Five Years met William Spaaij.

Bij Opus One schitterde ze in de rol van Johanna in zowel de bespeling in Amsterdam als tijdens de tournee van Sweeney Todd.

In recent times, Michelle can be seen in theaters both nationally and internationally. She played in Spring Awakening as Wendla, Next to Normal by Joop van den Ende Theater productions in the role of Nathalie Goodman. In Aspects of Love by the same producer, Michelle played the role of Jenny.

She then left for Germany where she was successful as Christine in Stage Entertainment's Das Phantom der Oper. At the same time, Michelle played in the small but impressive musical Last Five Years with William Spaaij.

At Opus One she shone in the role of Johanna in both the Amsterdam play and the Sweeney Todd tour.
