Joke de Kruijf volgde na haar vooropleiding aan het conservatorium de Show-Musical opleiding aan de Academie voor Kleinkunst en de Nel Roos Academie.

Ze speelde in zowel binnen- als buitenland in grote musicals waaronder Cats en Les Misérables. In The Phantom of the Opera, vertolkte zij in Hamburg, Wenen en Scheveningen de rol van Christine. Ze speelde titelrollen in Grace the Musical, Carlie en Willeke de Musical. Met songs uit Grace de Musical maakte ze in 2002 haar debuut in New York in The House of Honours - Carnegie Hall.

Joke speelde hoofdrollen in Carmen, Larry this Funny World, Tango de Valentino, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky over the Rainbow, Crazy for you, Chess, Chicago, 1953 de Musical, Het Meisje met het Rode Haar en Op Hoop van Zegen. In de liedjesprogramma’s Telkens weer het Dorp, Nederland Musicalland en Musicals to the Max was zij soliste. Ook was Joke twee jaar soliste in Palazzo en behoorde zij 10 jaar tot de vaste cast van Forbidden Musicals.

Joke stond in Ahoy met Musical Classics en zo ook met Musicals in Ahoy in 2002, 2004 en 2006. Voor stichting De Zonnebloem toerde ze met verschillende producties door Nederland.

In 1995 won Joke de Gouden Notenkraker, de prijs van de Nederlandse Toonkunstenaarsbond. Ze was genomineerd voor de John Kraaijkamp Musical Award 2001 en 2005 in de categorie Beste Vrouwelijke Hoofdrol en in 2011 in de categorie Beste Vrouwelijke Bijrol.

Naast het zingen, spelen en dansen in musicals doet Joke nog veel meer. Ze doet aan nasynchronisatie en spreekt onder andere voor Walt Disney de Nederlandse stemmen in van Assepoester, Belle, Doornroosje en Marry Poppins. Ze geeft workshops met als doel jonge mensen in het musicalvak te begeleiden. Ook heeft zij de training STEM ontwikkeld waarin mensen van alle leeftijden zich bewust worden van hun eigen stem en deze beter leren gebruiken en controleren.

After her preparatory education at the conservatory, Joke de Kruijf followed the Show-Musical education at the Academy for Kleinkunst and the Nel Roos Academy.
She played at home and abroad in major musicals including Cats and Les Misérables. In The Phantom of the Opera, she performed the role of Christine in Hamburg, Vienna and Scheveningen. She played title roles in Grace the Musical, Carlie and Willeke de Musical. She made her New York debut with songs from Grace the Musical in 2002 at The House of Honors - Carnegie Hall.

Joke played leading roles in Carmen, Larry this Funny World, Tango de Valentino, Little Shop of Horrors, Rocky over the Rainbow, Crazy for you, Chess, Chicago, 1953 the Musical, The Girl with the Red Hair and Op Hoop van Zegen. She was a soloist in the song programs Telkens weer het Dorp, Nederland Musicalland and Musicals to the Max.

Joke was also a soloist in Palazzo for two years and was part of the regular cast of Forbidden Musicals for 10 years.

Joke performed in Ahoy with Musical Classics and also with Musicals in Ahoy in 2002, 2004 and 2006. For the De Zonnebloem foundation she toured the Netherlands with various productions.

She gives workshops with the aim of guiding young people in the musical profession. She has also developed the STEM training in which people of all ages become aware of their own voice and learn to use and control it better.
